Meditation, Mindfulness and Spirituality
Before formal psychotherapy training, I undertook a long personal exploration of my own, mainly through Buddhist practice, but also in other Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. After six years of Buddhist training, including many meditation and study retreats, I was ordained into the Buddhist tradition and given the name Vidyapala (Protector of Wisdom)

I have brought my 15+ years of Buddhist practice into my therapy, utilising meditation, mindfulness and compassion-focused practices to help my clients.

I have experience and a particular interest in working with people who may be confronting spiritual or religious problems or crises, encountering difficulties in their spiritual practices, or who may be struggling to integrate a significant spiritual or anomalous experience into their daily life.

Although, my training has been in the Buddhist tradition, your way of making sense of your experience is always our point of reference.
